Seabrook Island Club Rip Rap Repairs

  • Owner:  Seabrook Island Club
  • Construction Cost: $76,500
  • Completion Date:  January 2014

Scope of Services:

Cape Romain provided and installed approximately 120tons of Class D, and 120 tons of Class E Rip Rap to repair and supplement the existing rip rap bulkhead at the Seabrook Island Club. A long-reach excavator (60ft) was employed, along with a standard excavator, as access from a high bluff down onto the beach was difficult. Work was performed in the “off season”, so that there was no interference with beach traffic. This stone was used to supplement existing armor stone, which serves as an erosion barrier, protecting the Seabrook Island Club from the North Edisto River.
