Ace Basin Parkway Bridges

Scope of Services:

  • Build 720’ Flat Slab Bridge (24 Spans at 30’ long) x 47’ 3” Wide with 16” Thick Deck
  • Construct 600’ Flat Slab Bridge (20 Spans at 30’ long) x 47’ 3” Wide with 16” Thick Deck
  • Build New 95’ Long x 86’ 3” Wide AASHTO Concrete Girder Bridge over SC21
  • Install & Remove 200’ of Temporary Crane Access Trestle

Ace Basin Bridges for Phillips and Jordon, Inc: These bridges are part of the 8 mile corridor widening that P&J constructed on highway US-17 through one of the largest undeveloped estuaries on the east coast known as Ace Basin; the flat slab bridges are supported by 20” square prestressed concrete piling with HP10x57 pile points; the concrete girder bridge is supported by 18”Ø pipe piles 59’ in length; the concrete girders are type IV AASHTO girders.
