Codner's Ferry Boat Ramp

Scope of Services:

  • Replacement of existing boat ramp
  • Tidal shoreline erosion control utilizing articulated concrete block mats

 

The project is located at the existing Codner’s Ferry Boat Ramp on Daniel Island, Charleston SC. The project actually has two separate components. The first is installing shoreblock erosion control mats and rip rap on Bellinger Island adjacent to the boat ramp. Access is only by barge. The second component is to remove the existing deteriorated timber bulkhead at the boat landing and replace the shoreline protection using a combination of both shoreblock and new treated timber bulkhead. The causeway between the landing and Bellinger Island will have some minor improvements as well.
