The project is to repair erosion damage on 870 feet of shoreline on Rhodens Island. The revetment consists of reshaping the bluff slope and placing Shoreblock articulating concrete erosion control mats. Both soil and #789 stone is used to re-grade the bank before placing the mats. Most mats are 8 feet wide by 40 feet long. The toe of the mat is at     -2.5 MLW or deeper. The tops of the mats are secured with platypus anchors. The voids of the mats will be filled with suitable soils and planted with natural vegetation.
