US 378 Road Widening Project over Deep Creek

Cape Romain is a subcontractor to L. Dean Weaver on this project. The project consist of 3-span flat-slab bridge to replace an existing culvert, across Deep Creek in Florence County. Staged construction is required to accommodate existing traffic patterns and to accommodate two-lane traffic during the entire construction process. An index pile program is required to determine final production pile lengths. Additionally, an engineered temporary shoring system is needed to divide new construction from the existing roadway. Demolition of the existing culvert will take place in stages as well.
