- Grading, Drainage, and Asphalt Work for Bridge Approaches.
This bridge is 1400’ long and carries SC 41 traffic over the Black River and adjoining flood plain. Foundations consisted of drilled shafts of various sizes. Foundations were also tested with Statnamic testing methods. The superstructure is made up of 72” bulb-tee prestressed girders and a poured-in-place deck. Access in this environmentally sensitive area was accomplished by haul roads built above flood stage levels via barge.
