Project Description
Cainhoy Land & Timber, LLC contracted directly with Cape Romain Contractors, Inc. for the Cainhoy South Impoundments Repairs & Improvements project in Charleston, South Carolina. The work consists of targeted structural repairs and upgrades to the South Dike system within the Cainhoy wetland impoundment complex.
The South Dike scope includes replacement of aging corrugated metal pipes and risers, rehabilitation of existing outfall structures, and installation of rip rap armoring to protect the embankment from erosion. The improvements are designed to restore hydraulic control functionality, enhance water management efficiency, and stabilize the dike system to support long-term ecological management goals.
The project is part of a broader sitewide improvement program that also includes major North Dike construction activities such as ACB mattress armoring, a new pile-supported water control structure, and headwall and timber pile installations.
