Folly River & Folly Creek Bridge Replacement

A Notable Project

Project Description

These bridge replacements began in the Fall of 2012, following utility relocations. The bridges are supported by driven pile and drilled shaft foundations and have large poured-in-place concrete caps, with type III prestressed girders and a poured-in-place concrete deck. Both bridges now have sidewalks on both sides with decorative galvanized railings. The bridges were constructed in their entirety on the north (upstream) side of the old bridges; traffic was shifted after completion.
