BEAUFORT, S.C. (WTGS) — Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park in Beaufort is getting some renovations to make sure it is still here for future generations.
Dozens of people living in Beaufort spend warm afternoons at the waterfront park on Bay Street.
However, what many do not know is that the park actually sits on the water.
A $590,000 grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund allowed the city to put advanced effort toward maintenance over the last couple of months to make sure that it literally does not collapse.
